Audio Reactive Visualizer
This started as an experiment in learning Jitter and bloomed into one of my favourite ways to enhance music, especially when feeding the output from my eurorack system into it.
The Threshold control sends a bang whenever the audio crosses it. Depending on what parameters you allow to be randomized (by checking the X), the visuals will change accordingly. (Sometimes, I will find a setting I like and set the Threshold high so no changes will be triggered.)
I suggest hitting the Randomize Parameters button to see just how crazy it can get. For some controls, I used weighted randomization and smaller value ranges to reign it in a little and make it more user-friendly, but most parameters can be pushed quite far.

Below is a video of this patch reacting to a eurorack jam of mine.
The Mangler
I named this patch The Mangler because it takes input audio and transforms it into a twisted and unpredictable version of itself, and that's before it even reaches "The Horrible-izer." If you've seen my Count To Five patch, this is basically an expansion on that idea, but with a major emphasis on randomized parameter changes.

Count To 5 Simulator
The Montreal Assembly Count To 5 is my favourite pedal of all-time. I’ve been using the groove~ object a lot in Max lately and had the idea to re-create Mode 3 of this pedal.

Footstep Simulator
This Max patch simulates a person walking. There are 24 “random containers” (Wwise equivalent) that will trigger depending on Speed and Surface selected. For each of the 4 Surface Types, there are 3 different sample groups, for varying the length of the footsteps. Within those, there are 3-5 files per “foot” that get randomly selected and are constantly alternating.

*IMPORTANT*
This patch loads samples into a buffer for playback and in order to work the folder hierarchy must follow:
Documents/Max_Patches/Audio_Files/Footsteps/SurfaceSpeed/(LeftRight)/(.wavs)
Save unzipped files directly into Documents folder.
Yahtzee Roller
Completely unrelated to audio, I had the idea to make this one day and I’m fairly proud of it. I learned a lot about some objects I never used previously and even more about how Max prioritizes functions. Would love to add a way to keep score eventually, but for now it’s just a dice simulator.
If the X’s are lit up, the dice are “Open” and will produce a new random number upon next roll. Click the X to save the number from being randomized. Click reset at the end of your 3 rolls to start over.
Your hand (Three of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, etc.) is displayed at the bottom of the screen and rolling a Yahtzee will trigger a light sequence.
