An interest in music at a young age led to me playing guitar and a few years later I discovered the ability to create new and exciting sounds through the use of effects pedals. Thus began a budding interest in the world of sound design.
From there, it became an obsession! All free time was spent experimenting and learning about all forms of audio creation and manipulation.
After high school, I attended the Recording Arts program at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta and that led to five years of working in live sound as well as recording local artists.
In 2017, seeing Blade Runner 2049 in UltraAVX made me realize that my passion for audio could be applied to sound design in the visual entertainment industry. So I took a chance and moved to Vancouver to pursue a new career path.
There, I attended the Sound Design for Visual Media program at Vancouver Film School and fell in love with Production Sound and Game Audio, which are the two fields I’ve been primarily working in since then.
When I’m not working, I am usually obsessing over synthesizers, building something wild in MaxMSP, exploring the outdoors, playing guitar/bass, collecting vinyl, or enjoying all the food and craft beer that Edmonton has to offer!
